The other night when I was redesigning my blog I started going through some of my old sites I have saved over the years. One of my old personal sites had a page with the Code of Bushido on it. To me, that code represents how I try to live my life. So, I added it to this site. The link labeled creed will take you there.

I also came across the site that I build when I was running The Martial Arts Webring. I clicked a link in the webring code and was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was still functioning. I started The Martial Arts Webring back in 1996 when was in college. I ran it for years eventually buying a domain name for it. For several years there it was the largest martial arts related webring on the ‘Net. Eventually someone bought out webring.org and after the system change I was unable to login anymore. At that point though real life took over and I didn’t have the time to argue with the new company that I was the ‘owner’ of The Martial Arts Webring. So, I let it go.

Now, several years later, I find that it’s still going. I dropped a message to the person listed as the owner of the ring now, thanking him for keeping it alive. It’s funny, I had all but forgot about The Martial Arts Webring after spending untold hours managing it for years. It really made my day to see that something I built so long ago was still going. Who knows, maybe I’ll add a few more martial arts related pages and join the ring again. ;)
