Just wanted to throw out a few observations I’ve made since moving to Florida.

  • A local bank by the name of People’s Choice has the worst customer service of any bank I’ve ever dealt with
  • Prosperity Bank, however, is extremely customer oriented, thus they have my business
  • Vision Bank seems to be a good bank as well. I plan on opening my business accounts there once I get my licenses and such.
  • Opening a business in Florida is much more expensive than in Arkansas
  • Real estate investors get along much better than real estate agents
  • There is no such thing as affordable housing in Bay County, FL. But there are rumors…
  • My legs still won’t tan, even in Florida
  • Even white sandy beaches look tan when I’m laying on them in shorts
  • Debating religion or politics is useless. If you lose the debate you still won’t change your opinions. If you win the debate, you still haven’t changed anyone else’s opinions.
  • I really need to buy a good (5 or 6 megapixel) digital camera one of these days
  • People in Florida don’t laugh at me when I tell them I charge $40 an hour for web development work

That’s all for now.

Okay, so I’ve neglected my blog lately. Life’s been busy. My family and I packed up and moved from Helena, Arkansas to Panama City, Florida. Tomorrow will make two weeks we’ve been here. It’s a strange feeling being a Floridian. I mean, I’m now in the same state who’s residents were too stupid to work a voting machine in the 2000 Presidential elections. But those were the folks down in Dade County, not up here in Bay County were we settled in at. Still, it’s a world of difference here. For one, people here are actually nice to each other.
