Okay, so I’ve neglected my blog lately. Life’s been busy. My family and I packed up and moved from Helena, Arkansas to Panama City, Florida. Tomorrow will make two weeks we’ve been here. It’s a strange feeling being a Floridian. I mean, I’m now in the same state who’s residents were too stupid to work a voting machine in the 2000 Presidential elections. But those were the folks down in Dade County, not up here in Bay County were we settled in at. Still, it’s a world of difference here. For one, people here are actually nice to each other.

Just for the record I’d like to point out that it is not hotter here! All my friends and former co-workers kept telling me how hot it was in Florida. I’ve been watching the temps in Panama City and Helena for almost a month now and it is consistantly cooler here by 3 to 10 degrees. But, I must admit, the humidity can be a pain, something like 53% today.

So, I’m no longer a police officer. That’s taking some getting used to. But, I’ve got plenty of stories to tell so I should be okay for a while. I know, now your wondering what I’m doing for a living. Well, I’m still developing websites (even bought a new domin name, but I can’t tell ya what it is until I finish the site) and now my wife and I are both working with Nye Enterprises, LLC. Nye is a real estate investment firm that, among other things, provides affordable housing in Bay County. So, ya want to buy or sell a house? :)

Several people have e-mailed me asking about the beaches. So far, we’ve been so busy that we’ve only gotten to go once, and it was really nice. My wife loves to swim and every day we drive past the ocean but don’t have time to stop. It’s like pure tourture for her. I’ve promised to take her this weekend. And probably the weekend after that, and the weekend after that, and the weekend after that, and you get the point.

Oh, and there’s a country-western themed bar here that has a mechanical bull, I’ve always wanted to ride one of those so we’ll probably stop in there sometime, too. And to those of you who are writing me an email tell me Christians aren’t suppose to go to a bar; find me a church with a mechanical bull and I’ll ride it there, otherwise, bug off.

Oh, and speaking of Christian things, we’ve found a great church already. It’s St. Andrews Assembly of God. It’s about 3 miles or so from the house. The first service we attended we were just amazed. We just kept thinking, this is what Pastor Steve and Vickie wanted our church in West Helena to be like. Very nice church. Their website is http://www.standrewag.org if anyone’s interested.

Guess that’s all for now.
